There are many different breeds of dragons, and one of the most amazing is the shadow dragon. The shadow dragons are found in the darkness of the night when the full moon is out. They also live in really dark caves up high.

Surprisingly, they have pure diamond teeth, black scales and beautiful purple eyes. When they fall asleep they make a little snoring sound. There eggs are really hard to break into for a human but for a baby its easy. The eggs have a hard shell and a dark pink and purple colour to it. When the eggs hatch they burst into a ball of boiling flames and a baby dragon comes out. Shadow dragons can live up to 100 years old.
