The Dragon

His eyes are bloodshot, a look of murderous evil lurking inside them.

His pasty white skin blinding your eyes as if you are gazing into a light.

His claws shout slaughter and evil.

His tail swishes like a wrecking ball swinging dangerously to and fro.

He was thirsty for blood, hungry for kill and eager for murder.

His eerie vein-covered wings curved around his agile scaly body.

He’s ready for anything!

  1. Hi Alice, we love your poem. You have used some great vocabulary in this piece and have chosen your words carefully. For example, using the verb shout in the line, “His claws shout slaughter and evil.” surprised us. We like the word, “eerie” but I wonder if you could think of an even better adjective to describe the wings?

  2. Alice, this is really brilliant work, you have built a great picture of this sinister and very menacing dragon – you have a great future. The most important thing is to keep up this high standard – I will look for you in the future best sellers lists.

  3. A wonderful descriptive piece of writing Alice. We can’t wait to see what you come up with next.

  4. Well done Alice 🙂

  5. Wow what a talent! Well done
