The Question Poem
What are loud? The wind howling on a chilly, cold day and the rumble of swollen, menacing clouds as loud as a crowd.
What are quiet? A footstep of a black, tiny ant and a person revising on an exam.
What are shiny? A blanket of stars covering the crispy night sky, a glistening diamond reflecting on a robber’s eyes and Christmas ornaments dangling from the Christmas tree.
What are fast? A rumour spreading around and a roller-coaster moving swiftly on its track.
What are scary? A black widow approaching its prey, thunder roaring on a rainy day and a horror film haunting you during your sleep.
What are small? A baby’s first tooth growing, a pearl from an oyster and kangaroo’s first leap.
What are fragile? Words that will shatter someone’s heart, a promise broken and your mother’s vase never to be broken.
