I’ve Never Rearranged The Stars – Aurelia
I’ve Never Rearranged The Stars
I’ve never been to the majestic Taj Mahal
but I have been inside the legendary Buckingham Palace.
I’ve never heard the almighty roar of a lion, the king of the jungle
but I have heard the squeaky shout of my guinea pigs.
I’ve never stroked a soft, silky unicorn
but I have stroked my Nan’s dinky dog.
I’ve never been to Mars
but I have been to the sandy shores of Devon.
I’ve never seen a golden, sparkling pyramid
but I have seen the green, steep hills of Hartlebury Common.
I’ve never seen the disgusting trenches of World War 2
but I have built a fortress-like den out of wood and trees.
I’ve never rearranged the stars
but I have rearranged my books.
I’ve never touched crimson crystals
but I have touched an emerald geode.
I’ve never felt the edges of the beautiful crown jewels
but I have felt the edges of costume jewellery.
