The magical Emporium- Chapter 2 By Ellie

“My name is Lucas Grey.”he said staring at Leah until she flinched and took a step back. ” Welcome to my shop!” Leah stared at him back shivering in fright. “This is my book. It’s a nice leather book isn’t it? You can look at anything at all in the shop BUT don’t touch my book!”

A moment later, Mr Lucas Grey vanished with a swish of his long black cloak. Leah now stood all alone with nothing to do. She looked behind the curtain and saw a path leading to darkness. She realised this was real not a dream. Leah gazed at the book. It was like it was drawing her in. Now she was tempted to pick it up, flick through the pages and read the words on them.

Without thinking she instantly opened the book. Each page was full with imagination and fun. There were drawings about city’s, forest’s, beaches, castles, deserts, ancient ships. Mostly everything you could imagine. Then, She wondered if she could write something in the pages.

The next thing Leah knew, was to grab the fountain pen on the desk and start drawing and writing. The first thing that popped in her head was to draw a beautiful waterfall and then to put something behind the waterfall. Something pretty and precious like a diamond. When she finished the thing she loved about the picture most of all is that the waterfall looked like the water was flowing down because the book was magical. As she started to take a break the dull pages of the book started to turn into beautiful colours. Now she loved her picture even more.

An owl flapped it’s wings and hovered towards Leah. It told her to follow. Leah gulped, as she didn’t know what to decide. She closed the book and got exited. Leah decided to follow.

They went through the long dark corridor she looked at before. They both saw a beautiful turquoise door waiting to be opened. She touched the doorknob and took a deep breath.
