The secret Emporium

Chapter 2

The next day Matilda went back to the shop, found the book the way she had left it! That was very strange she thought. Matilda picked up the book and grabbed a fountain pen and then began to flick through the book. There was images of something that looked very much like towns, cities and for some reason circus animals. Matilda took no notice and looked again to her left and right side to make sure nobody was weirdly watching her. She placed the pen to paper and drew a cozy cottage surrounded by forest trees. She heard a sudden movement. She put down the pen and look behind the curtain.

What Matilda could see made her froze. It was a- a thousand rooms! ( well not exactly a thousand). She saw a room to the right. Matilda slowly walked over to it and could smell a wood type of smell but couldn’t exactly work out what it was. She opened the door slightly and peeped one eye through the crack. Matilda could not BELIVE her eyes. It was exactly like she had drew a cozy cottage surrounded by forest trees.  “ I told you not to come here again,” said a voice but it was lost in the darkness. “ I- I’m sorry I must of not heard you,” stuttered Matilda shivering.

“GO AWAY, don’t come back” said the voice again. Matilda was sure enough that she wouldn’t come back again not after hearing that voice anyway.  She open the door and slammed it back again and ran down the street and back to her house. She knew not to go back.
