Chapter one: escape from the Gorm by Trinity

Chapter one- escape from the Gorm.

Finally, it was time.

Their mum had packed everything they needed for their journey. Hopkin, Peskin and Mo had been hiding in the safe room behind the closet and had made a plan to escape through the secret passage in the weeping willow. However, there was one problem…

To get to the weeping willow they would have to sneak past the Gorm patrol that were guarding the area. They had made their decision; Hopkin began to open a little crack in the door of the safe room and slipped through. He saw his sister Peskin cradling little Mo in her hands, giving him a stern look in the eye. He urged her to come and follow him and finally she gave in and followed him down the dark hallway.

Slowly, they began to sneak passed the Gorm patrol one by one, but suddenly there was as crack and they began to run straight for the weeping willow, but the Gorm were running right behind them, to make sure that they wouldn’t escape. At the last second, Hopkin had an idea but it was dangerous, he would fight the Gorm while his sisters escape. But his sister had other plans, she grabbed Hopkin by the hand and ran straight for the secret passage way.

They had escaped, but where would they go?  Hopkin was prepared, his mum had given him a map of the old paths. So at once he said that they are heading to the Bluebell Hills. After they had reached the hills, he drifted to sleep. His mind swirled with the sound of fighting and shouting. Would they ever be safe?
