The Mantifly is and extraordinary  hybrid of a mantis and a dragonfly. It has recently been discovered in North America in Canada living on and in the trees.

It is like most mantises when in wild. The Mantifly uses it wings to fly around and it usually has 4 wings to get into the trees and on top of the trees. The minority of the Mantifly species  can have up to 16 wings making them fly fast and flying at great altitudes. When the wings are damaged It uses it quick legs to move around to quickly find their prey and escape predators. It uses it medium sized  eyes to look for it’s food.

The Mantifly mainly eats beetles since they only have pre-molars and molars to crunch up the beetles shell. It uses it shiny fury shamrock scales to stun predators and prey and also to keep it warm in the winter and  in the summer ,it bites it fury scales of to make it that their not to hot . When the Mantifly is frightened it uses the venomous liquid in the tail and shoots it at them and it is enough to kill a grown adult. It it so small it can slide under doors,in boxes and any small places you could think of. It can also jump high to dodge predators attacks.
