Dear diary,

This is day 47 of being stranded on this island that is infested with not humans, but dragons. It’s been a better day than usual though as I’ve finally found the dragon that was said to be extinct but I knew they still were here, the winged chameleon dragon. I didn’t know how many still survived in the wild so my dragon explorer instincts kicked in and I trapped it in a jar. As I observed it closer it’s skin colour began to change as it does when feeling threatened. In addition to this poison began to spew from the dazzling dragon’s tail which in my opinion is a spectacular defence mechanism.

Immediately I set to work on making a cage for where she can survive in a place like her natural habitat. I knew the Chameleon dragon was female as males will have red, rubbery spikes protruding from their backs and not one appeared on hers. She had a length of 17 cm (an average pencil), width of 8 cm (a water bottle) and a height of 4 cm (a large rubber). I added a few leaves and shrubs to her enclosure as well as a food and water supply at the top of her cage. A glass cage was needed to obtain natural heat and luckily I saved some in the plane crash. Hopefully someone will come soon but for now everything is ok and I could survive at least a year with the resources provided from this island.
