This is Tod, Ted and Ned and they are on a mission to escape a creature worse than the worst. It is so bad that the only thing that dares to fight is itself. 

One day Tod, Ted and Ned were told that “the creature” was coming and that they would have to run. Through the tears, Tod, Ted and Ned sat down and had a talk with each other trying to reassure each of them that they would be perfectly fine. Suddenly, a loud thud came from above. “It has arrived!” said Tod, jumping up from his seat. Frantically, Tod, Ted and Ned ran around preparing to run for their lives. When they dashed out the burrow they could hardly believe what stood before them…

Running, Tod, Ted and Ned were going for the pile of leaves in the corner of the infinitely expanding forest. Out of breath, Ned asked where the others went and Tod replied that they had to lose them because the creature ought to have got to them then. Worriedly, Ted and Ned looked at each other wondering if they were next to end up on a plate being seasoned with salt and pepper and being served to the creature(in other words they thought that they were next to be eaten). Then a little bird quite literally told them that it was only a mile away now and there was no hope of fighting it. So they took off with the bird following them going back and forth telling them how far the creature was from them “Two miles away now” said the bird encouragingly. “Five miles!” he exclaimed with excitement. “Ten miles!” he screamed so happily that he could have exploded. Breathless, Tod said that that should hopefully be far enough for a few days. “Yes!” Ted screamed then they set up camp.

After they had made a good shelter, Tod produced carrots, lettuce and hay from his bag. Tod shared a little of each food out and then they nibbled for the rest of the night.
