Chapter 2

The next morning, the two small rabbits woke up in the tiny cave that they found before it got dark the night before. They were shivering with cold and missed their parents badly. Lucy felt frightened because she didn’t know where the Dragons were and worried that they might get caught. She knew it was time to tell Tom about them but she just couldn’t find the words…

Quickly Lucy tidied away the crumbs from their tea in case the Dragons searched the cave. She and Tom scampered off around the enchanted lake as the glowing sun rose over the ginormous volcano.

A few hours later, they were getting closer and closer when suddenly they heard the loud thumping of giant feet. Could it be the Dragons?
