Chapter 1

It was a calm summer morning at Miss Peregrines Boarding school for young girls, Meg Mclarty opened her dormitory window and jumped out of it then ran like a cheetah was chasing her, leaving the school behind. Meg stopped at a bench to catch her breathe then she saw a familiar face an old friend of her dad.

 It was Darcy the mechanical dragon, who handed Meg a note Meg had already seen sitting Infront of her dormitory. The note said ‘my dearly beloved meg I am so sorry to say your dad Jake, has vanished and his airship was found destroyed and the only trace of him found was an old piece of jewellery your dad wanted to give you,.

Darcy the mechanical cuddled into meg as she let out a weep it was the most love Meg had felt in ages. Darcy and Meg both said at the same time ‘ We are in this together’. Meg felt the need to figure out more about this mysteries gift.

Meg found a hotel to sleep in for the night she placed the piece of jewellery on the bed side table then went to bed. Meg woke up the next morning and the locket was gone! Meg Mclarty had a feeling who stole the locket her dad had warned her about this person before and said they were always up to no good and always wanted something from someone. It was.

Chapter 2

Lakeside Manor stood mysteriously lurking in the shadows near a lake, the path was snowy after the storm, Meg opened the old wood door it squeaked like a door in a horror film. The manor didn’t feel like it used to when meg was a child it was cold, dark, dingy and unwelcoming. The floor was creaky, jagged, and hard like a brick wall. Meg brushed her finger along the mantle it was dusty and the paint was chipping  by the second. There was glass shards across the kitchen floor  Meg got goosebumps she didn’t know what had happened she felt scared and anxious. 

Meg pounded her way up the staircase heading in the direction of her bedroom. Once Meg had got to her bedroom she was delighted to discover everything as it was left before she was sent to boarding school. Her teddy sitting on her bed, the scrapbooks she made still on her dainty desk. Meg’s  wallpaper was still in good shape and when she opened her wardrobe her clothes were still in good form as well.

Curios Meg picked up the missing locket sat on her bedside table by someone mysterious but when Meg opened up the locket there was map of where to find a staff that Meg’s dad Jake made to enter the magical fairy world, dragon, unicorn, goblins, mermaids, centaurs, basilisks and hydra’s. Meg said to herself ‘this villain who wants this locket officially wants to enter this world and not in a good way’.

So that is right came a stern, dry voice it was someone Meg faintly recognized from a picture, her dad showed her when she was a child it was professor pitch an old teacher at Mr. Peregrines Boarding School for Young Boys the opposite of meg’s boarding school. She had heard rumors about the school he taught at and apparently children got whipped if they were misbehaving, locked in cell’s to sleep and given awful food. Meg held the locket close to her chest as pitch tried to snatch it and succeeded. Pitch said ‘ I loored you here I knew you were going to come here then find the locket then I would steal it and capture you and so I will’ He said in a dark evil voice.

So pitch did, Meg was locked up in an outdoor shed where her bike was stored from when she was a child. She tried to pull on the door but it was firmly locked, no windows or no secret doors to escape threw Meg Shure was trapped! She let out a desprite call for Darcy her mechanical but no reply she sat there and cried and cried and cried. Meg felt helpless and felt like she would never get out , and now all the magical animals were in danger as well

Chapter 3

Scared and panicked Meg searched for a way out of the old shed. She looked for any loose window, any trap door or any other way to get out. Meg then found an electrical battery powered chain saw that she thought she could use to saw a hole in the shed to escape through but it was out of batteries and there were no spare  batteries in the shed. Meg thought she was dommed

Meg spent loades of time thinking about how she would escape if there was a window or trap door but she knew there wasn’t. She then had an idea to push against the back wall because she knew the shed was sat against a huge big mountain of bricks and she thought it might lead to a cave and a way to escape.

Alot of the time Meg was in the shed she spent shouting for Darcy to come and rescue her she called and called for her but she didn’t come. Meg was getting so disparate to get out of the shed that she burst into tears and distraught.

Meg pushed as hard as she could against the walls hoping and praying to break at least one of them down to escape through, but it was useless.

She sat on the floor and said to herself ‘I really wish my mother was here with me she would have known what to do so would my dad but he isn’t here either.” She whimpered in a sad voice.

Meg sat for ages hoping someone would come and save her. She was crying so much that at one point she felt like she couldn’t breathe. As the sunset was fading and the moon was rising she was desperately trying to settle herself for the night but just couldn’t. The stars then started to come out which annoyed Meg even more because she hadn’t got to sleep yet. Another 2 hours went by and she heard the big grandfather clock in lakeside manner chime 12 o’clock, Meg decided to lye down and count sheep which made her drift of.

Just as Meg was drifting of to sleep she saw a shadow at the bottom of the door shine through the shed, then a scratch at the door then sudden heat. It had to be… Darcy!

Darcy broke down the door with her sturdy horns, and nudged Meg into a hug which Meg much appreciated. Meg was so happy to see Darcy and finally get out of the shed. 

Darcy and Meg then walked across the lawn sneakily making an escape. A couple minutes later meg was on Darcy’s back and they were flying to get somewhere to sleep for the night. They then came across a old abandoned hospital building, but it was the best they could do. Meg cuddled into Darcy as they both drifted of to sleep.

Meg was having a terrible dream that Pitch got into the magical world hidden in the locket and killed all the magical animals and sold them and used them for money. Meg thought, Where is my dad? Why did he leave the locket? And did he know that the magical animals where in danger or did he even know there was a magical world inside the locket.

                                            Chapter 4

Meg kept dreaming and dreaming of pitch killing all the magical animals hidden in the locket she felt so guilty and that it was her fault pitch now had the locket. There were two things Meg wasn’t shure about where was her dad? and did he know there was a magical world in the locket?

Meg woke the next morning very tired, as she opened her eyes slowly as soon as she opened them she saw Darcy eating a dead rabbit and Darcy nuged one over to Meg but Meg wasn’t interested. She pulled out a cereal bar from her pocket and said to the dragon ‘I’m much more keen on something fresh.’ Darcy turned round without a care in the world and started to eat it and with a fare Pase. Darcy then made Meg aware that they needed to go and find the airship. Meg and Darcy got ready to find the airship, Meg mounted Darcy’s back ready to fly.

As Meg and Darcy hovered over Lakeside manner they spotted Pitch holding the locket and Meg’s dad Jake’s missing airship. Darcy then landed, They with what they thought was the best plan they had ever thought of. Their plan was to snatch the locket from pitch the leave in the airship. 

To Meg’s surprise Pitch made his way onto the airship with the locket in his hand ! Meg chased after him, then caught him she snatched the lockout of his cold, firm hand. Meg attempted to get off of the airship but pitch had already closed the door she was… Trapped! As the airship started to lift above the ground Darcy followed it.

Darcy the mechanical jabbed her strong sturdy horns through the airship leaving meg a hole to escape through. Meg didn’t know what she would have done without Darcy they really were becoming best friends. Meg then was getting ready to jump from the airship onto Darcy’s back with the locket firmly clouched in her hand but before she jumped she heard a familiar voice shouting her name it sounded like her dad !

Before Meg jumped she looked through the airship desperately trying to find her dad she then came across a cupboard she opened it and there here dad was tied up in ropes and his eyes taped shut. Meg quickly untied her dad and took the tape off of his eyes as soon as she did that she gave her dad a big hug which he looked delighted with. Meg still clutching the locket in her hand and her dad’s hand in the other they both jumped onto Darcy’s back and flew through the fluffy clouds down to a nearby village.

Meg and her dad Jake and of course Darcy found a house to buy in the village with a very own house Darcy right next to there’s they were getting ready to go to sleep that night when Meg was in the bed next to her dad and said ‘ Dad did you know if you open the locket that there is a magical world of animals and fairy’s inside her dad replied’ yes and now you do.’ Meg walked over to Darcy’s house and cuddled in with her.

Darcy said ‘I love you Meg’ Meg replied ‘I love you too darcy’ Then meg thought wait you can talk ! And Darcy said I am magical. They then drifted of to sleep. The End
