poem of the week
On Sunday, I did a brutal workout,
It felt like I’d been shot by a gun,
With bullets that spread through my body,
Just as lightning forks down from above,
On Monday, I built a lego tower that could challenge the Star Enterprises,
The blocks were as strong as titanium,
They stood as steady as a brick wall,
On Tuesday, I watched in shock as my sister began to stomp,
She was a baby godzilla unleashing her wrath,
My lego tower was no longer indestructible,
For the power of my sisters anger, was something the hulk would run from,
On Wednesday, I couldn’t have been more excited,
For game night was on the cards at my dads,
Chess was the game and I was Gary Kasparov,
On Thursday, I felt hotter than a dragons breath,
Although it had gotten easier it still burnt,
The workout was harder breaking brick with a punch.
On Friday, my nintendo was calling me,
like a siren to sailors saying
“play me: play me”
On Saturday, I went to a kids best friend,
the slipery slide took my breath as
I smiled and laughed and screamed
my best friend allways here for me at the end of every week.
