Letter home as an evacuee

Thanks for the hot chocolate, it kept me very warm on the carriage. Which felt like decades

After, we finally came to a cease. It’s my first time in Newcastle, and the city is wonderful. The sea is a lot better than back at our village, where the ocean is breezing.

I was staring as a stalker as I saw a short, buff guard telling me where my room is. He gave me a nice smile and it made me feel more calm.

His name is Ralph and I’m staying  with him

In a small peace cabin. The cabin has a river called river tong next to it. The first thing Ralph said to me was he lived in the cabin for 5 years so he’s used to it. When I first knocked on the door Ralph said to me you can’t come in until you pay the rent. He told me if you don’t pay the rent I will get kicked out from the cabin so I paid the rent and finally didn’t need to care about rent

At the cabin I slept in a tiny peaceful room which had a small  tv and a small bed. At night I can see the river moving. And I can  hear birds tweeting. I wake up every morning with the sound of a tower’s bell ringing. For breakfast we eat a delicious waffle with chocolate syrup and sprinkles around them.

Ralph  had a security dog called Jack  where if anyone enters the cabin without permission Ralph can make Jack  bark  at him so they can leave. I have shifts to do with Ralph and the best is  what Ralph tells me what to do. First thing in the morning I get Jack out of his cage and take him for a walk. When I am done taking Jack for a walk I return him back to  Ralph.

Haling Cove is a huge village beneath  a mountain. In the village there are animals like a Bear and a Buffalo. In the village there is a farm which the villagers take care of them.

We have dinner inside in the hall and Ralph gives me a sandwich with butter and jam. Everytime Ralph gives me a sandwich with butter and Jam as and sometimes he gives me a crisp sandwich. In school we learned about the history of WW2 Germany vs russia. Outside Me and Ralph play chess together and  four squares we play pick up sticks and cards.

I hope you and  Harry are ok. I feel so bad. I have not been for a long time. I hope Raphael is ok too. I’ll start working really hard. Please respond to me.

Your loving son – Dan
