Chapter 3

In the country side, there were never ending fields, little stalls and lots of farm animals. Where as London has pastel cars, towering sky-scrapers, cameras , telephones and TV, the countryside is quiet and calm. Abby fed the chickens with corn and made the beds .

Abby went back to the woods, following the light to the secret place. She went through the bushes and was shocked to see the shades of blue and red gone. There were now shades of green and more. The river had lily pads and flowers blooming and the crystal cove had rippling colours scattered with glitter like star dust falling elegantly. Abby got closer and felt how smooth the edges were.. She took her other hand then picked it up, Abby was mesmerised by how beautiful it was.

Abby went back for her tea. As she was about to leave, she turned back and was shattered to see the gem having a bad reaction. Abby rushed back to Mrs Brown telling her all the bad news. Mrs Brown was heart-broken. They ran as fast as a falcon in flight but they were not quick enough. The crystal got even worse, which resulted in Mrs Brown having a tear running down her cheek.

Mrs Brown picked up the crystal and put it back. She grabbed a handful of that star dust and sprinkled it on the crystal, letting it cure it for a few weeks. Mrs brown would now have to check on the crystal day and night, protecting it from any trespasser.

Abby tried to be as quiet as a mouse that as she nearly made it but not quiet enough that she was just about to be hit with a stick. Abby ducked low Mrs Brown apologises she lets Abby in they both stared at crystal .They both hear a rustle coming Mrs brown grabs her own made weapons wooden swords and spears stone shields and scrappy slingshots. Mrs brown gets her self ready Abby’s hands had bullets of sweat, making her not hold her sword properly. Mrs Brown saw a foot peeping out she fires but misses she follows Abby was right behind her they saw two men wearing Armor sprinting in a ford Mrs Brown livid she would got to work making traps more weapons she would now sleep in the secret place Abby would now sleep by herself in the house but Mrs Brown would still make food and do farming .

Abby wanted Mrs Brown to stop protecting day and night so she made a schedule to check on the crystal, do tea and do the farming luckily they both agree and likes they even be training how to use the weapons.
