Fire dragon is hunted By Buster SWW
Chapter 3
Joe’s summer holidays extend further than what seems like the world, he thought it would of been fun but surprisingly it is not. The only thing that is exiting for him is the large fire dragon that lives in a abandoned quarry that is just down the hill from Old farm cottage! The reason why the quarry was abandoned is because there were not enough resources down there. It was in the city though because Joe had friends that were just next door and we were sometimes allowed to help with making parts in the factory and bringing the parts in from the pile outside. But the countryside is completely different because: there are very few street lights; very little houses; trees are everywhere; and wild life is all around. At 6:00am every morning Joe fed the chickens and pigs and sometimes he gave the herd of cows something called hay ledge.
At 9:00pm each night, Miss Carter and Joe always go down to the was-
working quarry. We usually go there and stay for an hour or two. The reason they go down there is because the majestic creature has a whelp (which Miss Carter said is the proper name for baby dragon.) But that is not the reason I like it, the reason is because I can play with the little fire dragons and teach them new tricks, for example like teach them how to breathe fire and how to fly. The funniest part of it is when we are riding the mother up in the sky! The creatures are majestic in what they do, how fast they learn and how they look!
The reason why Miss Carter and Joe has kept this a secret for many years is because this creature is being hunted for war weapons and when they put it in tests to see how to control it those fire dragons who have been found, die because they are stressed and agitated during them. Even though Mrs Carter and Joe desperately want England to win this terrible war but they they still feel like they need to keep it a secret…
As Miss Carter was making fried eggs and a few pieces of bacon, the radio was turned on full volume so it echoed all around Old Farm Cottage. As Joe entered the kitchen, the radio suddenly changed. It said,
“There is a suspicious creature has been spotted flying around the coast and the quarry. It is not a plane but it seemed to be some type of dragon! Before you worry about what we are going to do, we have thought of a plan. It is to capture the beast, and tame it.”
Joe’s and Miss Carter’s jaws dropped as they did not expect this horrifying news, it was too soon for the fire dragon to be found out. They went to the dragon that night and watched it as it flew around the shore and landed on the lighthouse and stood proud as it stood in the spotlight. The problem was she thought it was praise.
The next day Mrs Carter and Joe wonder wandering in stress back and forward, back and forward.
“What do we do?” asked Mrs Carter. Joe thought hard,, and asked
“When do the dragons learn to fly?”
“About Five to six months,” Replied Mrs Carter, “why?” Joe had an idea the best idea in fact he thought it was the best one in the world!
” I got it!” yelled Joe “Since we can ride the mother we will hide them somewhere where nobody would look maybe we could hide her and her kids into the wooden shed. We could maybe sleep with them.” She winked and clicked. “Great idea.”
