Many doors
Go and open the blood red door,
maybe there are red blood cells floating through
an artery,
molten lava squirming towards a vulnerable city
or a tomato growing on a giant plant.
Go and open the navy door,
maybe there’s the unknown ocean,
the bright blue sky staring at you
or a ripe blueberry waiting to be picked.
Go and open the coal black door,
maybe You will see a sleek black cat,
charcoal being burnt or shadows dancing.
Go and open the lime door,
maybe there’s a ripe pear,
a lizard in the burning hot desert
or a mint melting on your tongue.
Go and open the lemon door,
maybe there’s the burning, raging sun,
a field of corn being harvested or
stars shooting by at light speed.
Go and open the acorn door,
maybe there’s some cows peacefully grazing,
chocolate melting in the hot sun or bears eating fish and berries.
