Dear Mother,

Hi mother it’s Lucy and I really don’t know what’s happening it was very weird because I never saw Edmund cry while hugging you. The moment you left my heart broke I really wanna meet you. What is the Pied Piper operation? We where on the train but no one was talking, it’s my first time on a train does that always happen I wonder, if it’s does that would be very sad. anyways we left the train then we waited for five minutes and there was someone walking and walking coming closer and closer.

Our guardian is Miss Carter she looked at our names I don’t know why then she took us to her house it was not very big but was full of stuff I really wanted to explore everything but she said not to touch any thing in the house their was a really big statue of a dog. She said me and Edmund  have to do the gardening and Susan had to cook meals and Peter had to get the stuff from the Ration book.

The school was very big but I don’t know anyone there because Edmund, Peter and Susan went to high school. They gave me milk and they shout a lot, we learned about the gas masks it was so complicated but I know how to now, you should be very proud I am very happy mother. I hope you and granny are fine don’t worry about us we are doing great love you bye.
