Letter home

Dear Mum,

Thanks for the blanket it was the warmest blanket I have ever had. What felt like a decade we arrived in Wales. It looked way better than home smoke was choking the sky.I stood as still as a statue waiting for my future guardian. Then suddenly without any warning this lady grabbed my hand startling me.She then gave me a friendly smile bringing me to her home.

She lives in London in a small Cottage. We then went into her house Her name was Gertrude.I had a room in the attic.Every night I could hear bombings thinking if any would hit the house.

Anyways, she makes me clean up the house if I make any mess.I help her water the plants and she makes sure I put enough water in the plants. She made me clean out the pot and was wet, muddy and soggy. It was so wet I wish I could never do this again.

You won’t believe that Mrs Gertrude has a pet dog.I get to feed him and he’s so fluffy.Mrs Gertrude gives him apple seeds cause there’s not enough food in the house.

The village is not that small, it’s big. There’s not that many people in there. We rarely go outside for shopping cause of the bombs so when we go we make sure to get lots of stuff so we won’t keep on having to go back.

The school we go to is called Oakbridge Lynch. It’s just up street it only taes a bit of time to get there. The school is gooda there’s only 10 people there and it’s really small inside. All the kids that are there are nice none of them be mean.I sit at the back of the class.

I hope you are okay and we win the war and ****** gets defeated.

Umar
