I have never wanted to leave a place so much unlike this one.It feels so sad and lifeless, I miss home already.The window in the room was frosted with ice and I could barely see the garden outside. It was all lifeless.I clenched my fist so tight that my nails were starting to dig into my hand. I missed the sound of cars and steam coming out of the chimney at home, although I hated the smell.The spare bedroom that I had always been told not to go in belonged to Mrs Bunyon’s son that went missing a few years ago, she still thinks that he’ll come back but I think the opposite.She shouts at me and tells me to stop talking about it every time I try to talk about him, she’s just sad about it.That’s probably why she adopted me.

         Everyday, I start off by waking up at around 9:00. Since there are no clocks, I have to look at the sky.Then, I brush my teeth and change then go down for breakfast, boiled eggs with toast, somehow boring but nice.Then, I go to school by walking, it’s only a few minutes away, it’s always so boring but short. After that, I go out and feed the chickens so that after a while, they lay some eggs.After that, I go to the shed and get the gardening equipment so I can plant and water the flowers, fruit and vegetables. Then, I put them back and go inside to wash my hands after all the hard work.Afterwards, she makes me dinner and then I go to sleep ready for the next day.

          The strangest thing is that, at night, I hear someone creeping outside into the forest and something screams or shouts or even roars like they want to go out of where they’re being held.She says not to worry because it’s probably some neighbours with spiders in their house, but I think something completely different.I hear voices chanting a spell and then all of a sudden. Poof. Everything has gone quiet as if nothing ever happened.

        So one night, I followed her to the creepy forest that might be lurking with the most cruel and evil monsters and you can’t believe what I saw!I hid behind a tall tree and saw everything.The screams or shouts or roars is actually a roar. A massive jaguar was held in a cage by her.She had 2 other people with her that I don’t know of and they started chanting.Then,all of a sudden, a purple beam of light shone in the centre of them and the setting changed from a forest to a Red beach, she seemed like a witch.I almost thought she was freeing it but she wasn’t. The panther unlocked the cage and ran free, she was very frustrated.After that, everything went back to normal.
