maybe you will see people dying,

a night sky with pearl coloured stars.

or a dramatic fight.

Go and open the cherry door,

maybe you will see splatted jam everywhere,

a heart waiting for your hand to touch it

or blood dribbling down the walls.

Go and open the emerald door,

maybe you will see earrings shining bright in your eyes,

a dress waiting to be worn

or a frog waiting to meet you.

Go and open the lavender door,

maybe you will see chairs as purple as anything,

a dead leaf crunched up

or a bedsheet purple like grapes, glasses and cups.
