THE BOOK
Chapter 2
“My name is Luigi Debut,” he exclaimed gazing at Cameron. Until he moved to the other side of the room slowly. “This is my shop, do you like it?”. Cameron didn’t have much time to think so he just nodded his head. “Here is my book of Secrets. You are free to look around my shop but do not touch the book.”
A few minutes later, Mr Luigi Debut had vanished with a swirl of his long, grey overcoat, behind a door which left Cameron alone. She realised she wasn’t breathing. He had meant to have a wander around the shop, but there was something about the book that wanted him. He longed to look at what the book had hidden in its forbidden pages. He gazed down the hallway and all that he could see was hundreds and hundreds of different painted doors, each door have a different pattern or picture on it, it was like living a dream. Where do they all lead, he wondered?
Turning back she opened the book. Each page held different ideas from other worlds. There was rocket ships, dinosaurs lands, flying houses, animals jungles, monsters schools, cities, planets and way, way more. In each place there was stuff you couldn’t even dream of it was so good.
The next minute, maybe even second he had a pencil in his hand and started drawing a desert, with a mansion on it, and threw the door there was the thing Cameron wanted the most.
“This way” hissed the she hallway until it came to a fresh new painted door. It stood on the wooden floor, put its body to one side and tapped the door with its tail. Cameron new exactly what he was meant to do. He opened the door and entered.
He stepped into not a room, but into a desert. The sun filtered through the cactuses. He paused and listened. It was quite still, except from the sound of Camels walking slowly. A path curled away from him, towards the Mansion. The strangest thing was that it looked exactly the same as he imagined, exactly as he has drawn in Luigi’s book of Secrets. Without pausing for a second, without looking back, she ran towards the Mansion.
