Chapter 3 Father
The place had everything she had remembered, the room where she last saw her father : four chairs sat round a small wooden table; delicate glass plates with a scoop of mash potato, oily sausages and a hot dripping gravy; her mother was in front of the old blue stove; her father, a fuzzy shape, was sat at the table looking into Clara’s soft small eyes; and the small child, Clara, sat playing with a puzzle in-between mouthfuls. The prefect picture of a family, in a kitchen, but they never new what was about to happen. A story that changed the world forever.

“No!” she cried. She knew what was going to happen. She heard rain pattered on the cottage windows and the front door was rattled open. Her father left the room. He was gone in a flash! Quickly the scene started to disappear in a thick fog. Then Clara saw it; dusty blue eyes stared back at her; a small wooden boat perched on the soft calm water; he was here to help her! She pounded on the glass of the bubble, cried, kicked and screamed.
“Follow me” cried the man, with a deep cracked voice. Clara stepped back and ran. Ran as fast as she could Then she heard it: a path of secrets, welded together; a scream of darkness as it rides down my spine; a past; a cry of despair; her father!

A tall lanky man with an unbuttoned shirt stood before her. His soulful eyes made her stomach turn and his presents made her head throb with grief. She felt a sharp pain slice through her as the man, her father, stood in front, a small smile lay across his smooth face and short stubby beard that laid on the end. “Hello Clara,” He said quietly, “you’ve grown up so fast!” And that is when it appeared. Something was wrong.

A solitary man in a black hood with gold lace that was delicately threaded through the hood, spoke in a silent shouty voice that flooded the room with a thick loud silence.” Follow me.” Her father turned red like he had sat in the sun to long and sweat dripped down his soft smooth forehead. He took a funny step back and grabbed Clara by the shoulder pulling her down. All the memory’s started to follow her back to the scene that had just replayed.

He let go and beckoned Clara to follow him. “No!” Clara said her voice strong and clear.
“Why not?” replied her father waiting for her to follow him.
“You left me all those years ago when I was a baby and my mother had to raise my on her own. It wasn’t fair for her to do what you wanted to do. You Wanted to give my the childhood that you never got” She said staring at his dark soulful eyes. “I’m going with him”
