The Amethyst Emporium Chapter 3 By Rosie SWW

Chapter 3

Entering the food factory, Emma froze. Everything she could imagine was there: a solid gold statue of Chelsea and a Cockapoo dog standing proudly; a lake of liquid sweets that you can walk over; and a blood red masterpiece of an angel that sat silently in the middle. It was extraordinary, unimaginable. “How, how how?! This can’t be true! It’s magic!” exclaimed Emma, thinking she was in a glass-cased dream that was about to be smashed.

“Unbelievable!” said Emma, wondering how such a masterpiece could be real. She made her way to the main attraction, the blood red angel. Reading the silver nameplate, Emma realised it was the angel of death. “That explains the blood red colour.” Emma spoke, frightened. There was a strange noise and someone toppled to the floor. Everything seemed normal and they stood straight up again. Then she saw it.

Something fell and again and again. It was like dominos. Emma gazed, waiting for her time. But it stopped. Although it had frozen, something was still there. Nothing seemed normal. Emma stood aside but it was still quiet. All had become normal again.

Then it began again. Emma zig-zagged away. It was then that she saw it again: people toppled over lifelessly; some began to run around aimlessly; and many started to vomit. She ran in the direction of the door she had entered through.

But where was the door? Emma was sure the door was far north of the factory. But it just wasn’t there! “You’re stuck” slithered a mysterious voice. “Who are you?” Emma replied, worried to death.
