Spencer’s Masks
Spencer’s Masks
As I put on the blue mask I saw
The ocean looking back at me,
The sky thinking when to change its colour
And bluebells ready for me to smell them.
As I put on the mask of nature I saw
A massive rainbow towering over a farm,
The deep sea absorbing me, like a sinking ship.
As I put on the mask of red I saw
A ruby red flame skimming my face in terror,
Hot dogs being eaten with ketchup.
As I put on the mask of black I saw
Darkness in a gloomy cave,
Bats surrounding me like angry wasps
And the metallic look of obsidian.
