The Mask of Seasons
The Mask of Seasons
I wore the mask of winter
and thought of sitting next to the fire
on a cold Christmas night.
I put on the mask of spring and saw
the lovely leaves back on the trees
with the beautiful sparrows singing.
I tried on the mask of summer
and thought of going to the beach,
constructing castles out of sand.
I borrowed the mask of Autumn
and dreamed of stamping on crunchy leaves
that fall off the old oak trees.
