Chapter 3 by Ralph SWW
Chapter 3 Running to a ginormous oak tree, Garry began to climb to the biggest branch and jump off. Getting ready, he squatted but something court his eye and the branch shook him off .He began to fall into the black pond. Screaming for his life he plunged into the bitter cold water. Drenched and cold he began to climb the tree again yet something wasn’t right he saw something when he fell from the tree. Something like a tree house? Seeing it again he snuck round the back of it and began to climb through the roof. It was like paradise: Heat exploded everywhere; the smell of cooked cookies hung in the air hazily; and sap glued together the structure.
”Is anyone in,” called Garry, hoping that someone would answer but it was just him. Looking around he looked at a photo with a man with half a leg and a man standing on top of him. Edging back, Garry slowly walked up the blood red staircase and was amazed to find Crimson gems and pointy rubies on a midnight black bed. He was confused he had never written in the book about a tree house yet it was still hear he was starting to get worried. Then he heard it.
The crackle and scream gave it away. Something was downstairs and not knowing what Garry crept down but was surprised to find nothing there. Nothing was in the treehouse but something was here in the room. It did not feel right. Running upstairs, he hid under the bed and decided to stay there till the crackle went away. Feeling hot Garry took of his jumper off and began to walk downstairs.
Looking out side he saw danger coming: Fire exploded on to trees and even the tree beneath him; dark figures edged towards the tree house; and the thing which caught his eye was not the fire it was the shopkeeper throwing fire bombs at the trees. Looking at the fire beneath he began to jump out of the tree. Landing on a pile of grass, he hid from the shop keeper and ran toward where the door had been.
But there was nothing there. Only more forest that stretched on for miles and miles. Worrying, he began to panic because the dark figure were getting closer and closer and the closer they came the more panic he became. ”get back here,” shouted the figures, but he stayed where he was
