Go and open the door poem
Go and open the door poem.
Go and open the cobalt door,
maybe you’ll find an eye staring at you
the sky waiting for you
or a swimming pool getting ready so you can dive.
Go and open the emerald door,
maybe you’ll see a slithering snake sliding away
the smell of fresh plants
or nature relaxing in the cold breeze.
Go and open the cherry door,
maybe you’ll see a box as big as a sofa filled with hearts
sticky tomato soup falling from the sky
or a field full with poppies.
Go and open the jet black door,
maybe you’ll see hot chocolate falling on your white shirt.
or a hand as dirty as a chimney.
