My Mayan colour poem

I wore the red mask and saw poppy growing on a field where the soldiers lay to rest

I wore the orange mask and saw neon, high vis traffic cones lined up on the road.

I wore the yellow mask and saw the smallest duckling of the  seasonal spring.

I wore the green mask and saw an emerald green cactus looking lonely in the desert.

I wore the blue mask and saw the navy Pacific Ocean crashing against the rocks.

I wore the pink mask and saw fluffy flamingo eating bright  shrimp from the water.

I wore the white mask and saw snowflakes falling onto the farm yard window.

I wore the grey mask, and saw two dull eyes staring right back at me.

I wore the brown mask and saw a bear cub dancing in a field of long grass.

I wore the black mask and saw fire ash covering the vast blue sky
