My Mayan mask poem

My Mayan mask poem

Isla 6sp

I wore a green mask and saw ,

a tropical toucan flying over a majestic rainforest.

I wore a mask as red,

as a robins chest bobbing through a field of red poppies dancing in the wind.

I put on the orange mask and saw,

flames burst into my eyes burning the pumpkin to crisp.

I put on a mask greyer

than an elephant and it’s herd stomping through the river.

I wore the mask as pretty as pink

petals and my head exploded into a blossom tree.

I wore a brown mask

as brown as a burnt marshmallow and a roast chicken on a snowy Christmas day.

I looked through the black mask and saw ,

a shadow of a bat ,mine shaft in the night and a car tyre going round and round.

I looked through the mask as white

as the cream on a red velvet cake and snow falling in the winter wonderland.
