Chapter 4 -Mission Impossible

Ignoring the annoying voice of the old woman calling him, Steve quickly ran out of the cottage and into the forest. He ran for what felt like hours, but it was only ten minutes. Steve was exhausted and eventually stumbled across an abandoned house. Without thinking, Steve instantly ran into the house.

As he got in there, he looked out of the window at the woman who was lost with a wolf. He managed to get away from them. Quietly, he shut the door so it’s not suspicious that he’s hiding in the house. Carefully, he sneaks around the house thinking that someone is there. As he gets on the second floor, he sees a man who says, “Hello young child, perhaps you’d like some biscuits?” Without hesitation and he’s only eight, he immediately said yes.

The strange, ugly man took Steve to the room with sweets. But little did Steve know that’d it’d turn out to be an escape room. The man who is called Jamal chucked Steve into the room and locked the door and spoke through a speaker and told him “The only way you’ll escape is if you complete 4 levels of horror and torture. You have 4 hours. Good luck!” Steve instantly started crying but he knew if he wanted to get home, he’d have to complete the escape room.

Jamal went on the speaker again “Oh and by the way the first level is: A room full of creepy crawlies and a key lies in the room get the key and you’ll move on to level two.” Steve instantly went to the first room and began searching. After twenty-five minutes, he finished the level with three hours and thirty-five minutes left and two spider bites.

“The second level is a room with a maze and lots of scary things, if you make it to the end, you’ll get to level three, and the last two levels are a surprise.” He ran to the door and opened it. The maze was huge. He was unsure if he’d get past it.

After one and a half hours, he completed it with two hours left for the last two. As Steve saw level three, he knew he couldn’t complete the level. He thought of an escape plan.

Jamal, who was eating and drinking downstairs waiting for the four hours to end and For Steve to get trapped in his house. Steve saw him eating downstairs, so he crept to the front door and quietly opened the door and then shut it. He was free. Finally free! But he wasn’t free yet, he still can see the old woman with the wolf Standing next to the exit. Steve knew he had to think of a plan to get her away from there. He saw a rock on the floor. He thought of a master plan to throw the rock as hard as he can on the floor and then the old woman would run where the rock dropped then instantly, he can run for the exit. He put his plan to work. He dropped the rock and saw the woman running with the wolf. He ran as fast as his little legs could go. Breathlessly, he made it to the exit.

He quickly had a look around and saw the woman staring straight at him. He ran through the door and back in the Emporium. “Well, hello again Steve! Did you find what you were looking for.” Said Ben “Well unfortunately I didn’t.” “Oh, what a disaster! But would you care to tell me what happened?” said Ben Bronze. “Well long story short, I got chased by an old woman with a wolf and then I got trapped in an escape room and I escaped and managed to sneak past the old woman.
