The senses

I would take the sound

of a clock ticking like a bomb,

The waves of the ocean, the sound of sand falling in an hourglass

and the static of a broken television in a dark alleyway.

I would take the smell

of freshly baked bread form a bakery,

The strong smell of fresh ink straight from a printer

and a scent of scented candles surfing through the room.

I might take the feel

of a fluffy carpet on the dusty floor,

the feel of flipping all the pages in a book fast

and the indents of a seashell.

I would take the sight

of the burning sun, glazing the face of the Earth,

the bioluminescent glow of the stars above,

snowflakes dancing around in the air on a winter morning

and the rain dripping down the windows.

I would take the taste

of glorious caramel chocolate,

the scrumptious taste of strawberries on a hot summer day,

sweet candy canes as a treat for Christmas or

the glistening glaze of golden honey.
