The creative senses

I would take the sound of

Happy children playing in the park,

the exotic fruit squeezing its juice into my palm

and the frosty leaves falling onto the Autumn ground.

I would take the taste of

the freshly baked baguettes coming out of the oven,

the sour tang of the shiny blackberries in the field

and the melting cheese wrap around my tongue.

I would take the smell of

the strawberry tarts sitting in the bakery,

the distant waft of the cakes and cookies in Costco

and the rare steak being prepared by the butcher.

I would take the sight of

the vibrant beam of the hidden full moon,

the ecstatic grins of the friends in the school grounds

and the glittering stars in the sky, gazing proudly at the world down below.

I would take the feel of

soft beds that would drift me off into another world,

the delicate snowflakes that fall from the wintery sky

and the warmth of a night fire burning beside me.
