The Deep-Diver by Rosie SWW
I’ll swim towards you like a ball hit by a cricket bat,
I’ll climb out and follow you a fox,
I’m a deadly predator that creeps cunningly.
Lake-glider,
Fish-hunter,
Finger-pecker.
That’s what I am.
My galaxy-black eyes shut as I turn under my lake,
My webbed feet push and push again,
I rule the the lake of honour.
Lake-glider,
Fish-hunter,
Finger-pecker.
That’s what I am.
My coat reflects on the tropical waters below,
My beckoning beak pursues its prey,
I rule the lake of honour.
Lake-glider,
Fish-hunter,
Finger-pecker.
That’s what I am.
The emperor of the lake of honour.
