The Night-prowler by Rosie SWW

Night-prowler, courageous-warrior,

how does thee stalk so stealthily with every intricate move?

How does thy position thee in the greatest location?

Fox, fox,

must thine teeth splinter thee delicate skin?

Shall thy feed many?

Fox, fox,

which clatters are the wickedest of them all?

What tortures the eardrums the most?

Fox, fox,

how does thee have fur so vivid,

yet so secretive?

  1. I can sense the fox prowling our garden. This provokes many images. Well done Rosie. What must a chicken feel knowing such animals lurk outside their coops?
