A Rainbow of masks
A Rainbow of Masks
I wore the Green mask and saw
the leaves of a tree blowing side to side,
a desert filled with prickly cactus
and a sparkly emerald in a cave.
I wore the Red mask and saw
a volcano full of flames,
poppies growing through Flanders Fields
and a farm of strawberries growing.
I wore the Yellow mask and saw
shining bananas with water dripping down them,
strong, stinky cheese with holes running through it
and a field of beautiful dandelions.
I wore the Blue mask and saw
a huge whale splashing everywhere,
the bright sky looking down on me
and tears dripping down a child’s face.
I wore the white mask and saw
soft snow laying on the ground,
creamy clouds gliding in the sky
and woolly lambs roaming the field.
I wore the pink mask and saw
a beautiful flamingo running down the beach,
warm candy floss being made
and fresh raspberries being picked.
I wore the orange mask and saw
a basketball prepared to be shot,
spooky pumpkins ready for halloween
and crunchy carrots in a rabbit’s mouth.
