S.S destroyer
Prologue
Have you ever had family day trips on a skyship? In summer, you would have flown over Los Santos, soaring high above the hills and across the warm seas. When You flew, there would have been orange sunset skies, a soft gentle breeze and that amazing sense of freedom. When you flew, there would have been the islands far below fishing boats with their brightly coloured sails and even a school of dolphins. You probably got taken to one of the nearby islands and landed the ship so that you could have lunch. Travelling by skyship in summer is like that.
But travelling on an expedition to unknown lands is another matter. You should skyship adventures when the wind blows a gale, the thunder claps around you and the sky is split apart by jagged lightning. You should try and be there when the Sky Dragons attack, scrambling across the hull ready to dig their poisonous fangs into your skin or worse- tear the skyships inflatable apart. You should try being there when the food runs out and there is not even a drop of water in the barrel. Few people would wish that on anyone. Even experienced flyers think twice about flying North over the distant islands. No one knows what creatures live there, there are thought-bears, stone-giants and cave-dragons. Few people would wish for an encounter with a frost-troll… and most say the rumours are for a good reason.
Chapter 1
The crew members gave a round of applause as S.S Destroyer lifted up into the air and the engine roared like a tiger. Captain Layton connected to the skyships speakers and thanked everyone for flying along-side him. He got back to his seat and smiled with joy, he was determend to give the crew the best service possible.
Josh and Jill looked down at their phones as they took off, they got distracted by the crowd’s loud cheering. The skyship hovered over the Los Santos town square and the passengers could see bright lights from buildings and market stalls. Josh got worried and wondered why they were on an adventure, “Jill, do you know why we’re on an adventure?” “No josh I don’t”.
The crew was on a mission to find abandoned WWII Jets (that are extremely rare) located near the Himalayan Mountains. “ Attention all crew members look out of your window for WWII Jets, if you do see one, press your call button and we will land.
“Ok I get it now” said Josh “we’re going to find WWII Jets” Jill replied, “that’s what they’ve all been talking about”.
Buzz Buzz, someone pushed the call button and soon after that, the captain pressed the hover button, took some pictures and wrote notes about it. Once they had finished the inspection they were on their way again.
“Well we found our first jet but we have to find some….Clank clank, the engine started to make noises, “Oh dear that doesn’t sound good” “Attention all crew members, we will have to make an emergency landing due to engine difficulties” Josh replied, “ what about that small island over there”…..
