Skyship

Youve probably had a family trip upon skyships. In summer, you would have flown over mountain streams, soaring high over caves and across sapphire seas. When you flew there would have been, fluffy clouds, a smooth breeze and crystal clear waterfall. When you flew there would have been the islands far below, boats with their vibrant sails and even a school of porpoises. You probably get taken to one of the nearby islands and landad the ship so you could watch the incredible view. Traverlling by skyship in the summer is like that.

But traverlling on an adventure to undiscovered lands is a totally different experience. You should try a skyship journey when thunder growls around you and the skys sliced by jagged lightning. You should try being there when the skygoblins attack, flying across the horizon ready to dig their claws into your skin tearing you apart. You should try being there when the food runs out and there’s no more water. Few people would wish that on anyone. Rumours have it that skygoblins hunt down young children. Few would wish for an encounter with a fire-troll and most say, that the rumours are for a good reason.

The crowds roared in excitement as the skyship Lantor ascended into the spring breeze and drifted for a moment as the engine blasted a stream of air as it came to life. Captain Saphine perched at the wheel, her face full of pride and joy, her grin full of determination. They were off!

Veronica and Tom peered over the skyship as it ascended higher and higher. Below, you could see houses and crowds screaming until in the end all you could see was the smallest dots that looked like beetles. They could see birds flying around and the sun’s rays so bright it nearly blinded them. They could hear Lake Lonsands waves swimming in the wind.

Shouting to the crowds in the distance, fair well, see all of you wonderful people soon. Veronica grinned, overjoyed to be on the skyship again.

As they reached above the clouds, the Lantor was gliding higher and higher into the sky. Under the ship, Tom spotted boats gliding across the sapphire blue sea, dolphins jumping in and out of the water and ships sailing from island to island delivering items they require. Veronica sighed “ I wonder if we will discover any Madagascar pochards in ponds or rivers?” grasping hold of the side of the skyship.

Tom sccrubbed the deck and replied, “ I wonder if we will come across any sky-vultures? I wonder how long until we meet our destiny.

That night, the weather turned. Freezing rain splashing all around the ship quickly creating icicles dangling of the sails.
