Prologue

Have you ever had a family trip on a skyship? Well if you have you’ve most likely been on a skyship in the summer soaring over the country, high above the hills across the countryside. When you flew, there would have been sunny weather, a soft sense of pollen and that powerful breeze of freedom. When you flew, there would have been the cities and towns far below, fishing boats with their brightly coloured sails and even a school of porpoises. You probably got taken to one of the nearby towns and landed the ship so that you could have a game of pool. Travelling by a skyship is like that.

But travelling on an expedition to unknown towns is another matter. You should try a journey when the wind blows a gale, the rain spits around you and the sky is grey coloured. You should try visiting there when sky goblins attack, scrambling across the place ready to dig their poisonous claws into your skin or something more kind – messing up your picnic table apart. You should try being there when the food runs out and there is not even a drop of water in the tap. Few people would wish that on anyone. Even experienced flyers think twice flying over eastern towns. No one knows But many creatures live there such as: dragons; pegasus; zombies etc. A few would wish to encounter a stone-giant… and most say that the rumours are for a good reason.

Chapter 1

The crowds gasped as the skyship Aurora ascended up into the air and had a moment to start the engine and flew higher and higher.Captain Whisper sat down as being the pilot with two other sidekicks by his side Ali (who was the oldest) and Riley. As  the two boys sat down they flew off!  

The boys gazed down as the ground started to fade away.Riley was afraid of heights so he didn’t look anymore but Ali loved going up in a skyship and Ali could still hear the people cheering as the noise faded and faded until he couldn’t hear anyone cheering. As they passed London, Ali was getting hot (as they are on top of the clouds) so was Captain Whisper but Riley was fine. 

As they were going past the countryside, they went down a bit so they wouldn’t get a heat stroke. As they passed the countryside they went into the seas and Riley squeezed his teddy bear because he was scared of drowning as well and asked the Captain “ h-h-h how l-l long d-d-d do  w-w-w we h-h have l-l left?” and the Captain replied “not that long” as Ali was looking down to the ocean because he loved swimming.

Within an hour the ship was sailing right above the Indian ocean and when they were above it the outside of Riley was calm and relaxed but on the inside he had butterflies in his stomach. On the other hand, Ali saw some people surfboarding near the shore. Riley muttered “ are we there yet?” while biting his fingernails.Ali replied    “we are nearly there.” While looking down. “ I once went on a trip when there were fire dragons and sky-goblins.”

All of a sudden, the weather was hot and there was fire on the landing so they had to land somewhere else. All of a sudden, Ali found a palm tree with a small place to land and the Captain saw it too…
