Chapter 3

Still knowing Nari couldn’t escape,she accepts her fate knowing she won’t see her friends again. Within a blink of an eye,Douxie reunites with Nari. Nari finally has the courage to move.From behind the bush,a thought-lion jumps and stares into  Nari’s eyes.

In a calm voice the lion says “Don’t worry I won’t hurt you.”  Nari sees something glow in its hand. “What’s that in your hand?”  Nari asked in confusion. “It’s diamonds! I can give them to you if you like.” Nari disagrees. 

Out of nowhere,they hear screams like no other in the distance.”The human-eaters are close!” Suddenly the lion gives them the diamonds and says “you’ll need these  as it isn’t safe when the human-eaters are near.” Knowing they achieved their goal they rushed to find the others.Once they get everyone  gathered around

Douxie and Nari show them that they have the diamonds and that they accomplished their mission.  

Remembering what the lion saidDouxie tells the captain, knowing the human-eaters are on their way.Packing all their stuff,they put it on the ship. Knowing they don’t have much time,they start putting the sails up until… a shout is heard “The engine won’t start captain!” They finally got the engine running…but it was too late.
