Chapter 4

A thorough search began, Frankie and Elliana were rummaging through the ship looking for something that could help them destroy the Manticore once and for all. Dangerous weapons such as: a spital sword; an assault rifle and a crossbow were found but nothing strong enough to defeat it. 

Unexpectedly, a mysterious staff appeared out of nowhere. “It’s magic!” Elliana said with delight but Frankie being older and more mature replied “I’m sure it’s useless, let’s keep looking.” 

Other dangers could also strike such as: above them could be flying goblins and below could be a slytherin sea snake.

All of a sudden, at lightning speed the terrifying beast launched itself at the ship and began tearing it to shreds… Are they going to make it out alive? 

A terrific idea locked itself into Elliana’s head “The staff !” she screamed while dodging parts of the ship that were collapsing. With all her strength and power, she launched the end of the staff onto what’s left of the ship’s floor and just as she thought the Manticore was sent flying into the air! The beast’s screams rang in the girl’s ears as a group of flying goblins caught it in the air and ripped it to pieces. 

They had won! A proud smile didn’t leave Elliana’s face as she used the staff to rebuild the ship and set off. The children were ready for whatever adventures await them next.
