The next journey
Bing! The control panel indicated an engine fail. Below, the engine roared like a hungry tiger. It needed fixing, urgently. Above, the captain called orders out, trying to keep the ship running. They were already late, there was no time to lose.
It rode the wind like a road. Their conflagration lights the sky. They’re approaching fast. They each had a symbol on their shoulders. It seemed to be ancient Arabic but Issy wasn’t sure. Their limbs crunched like a crisp, each of their bikes wheels whirled like a tornado. There was no stopping them.
En-circling the sentito, they edged closer and closer. Within a matter of minutes, all decks were battlefields, Crates went flying, lasered bullets flew around and the crew numbers descended. The ship was done, or so Issy thought…
“Issy! Get the gem!” Lamar called over the noise. Lamar held a parapet of barrels, crates and wires. Issy returned. Lamar instructed Issy on what to do. The explosion interrupted the skull riders, and within a matter of seconds, they were gone.
The engineers used thorough investigation to figure out what happened. The ship-despite gliding- was descending, fast. Zoom! The engine, it returned.
The Sentito sails on once more, ready for the next journey…
