Captain Mahmood’s diary- 29th november 4042

This evening, I divided the crew into two, to look for our shipwrecked friend. We studied the beach to try and find Haider’s belongings, as we did this, another group of the crew searched for coconuts. I woke the people on the ship with a loud alert, so we could all work together and find our frenemy.

Firstly, we walked deeper into the sea. I made sure to remember my way. The sea went higher up my body. Sea creatures loomed and created a circle around us. One nanosecond, there was complete stillness but the next, the sea crashed against rocks.

After a minute, we came to a hole in the sea. Outside, there were shark bites and fish skeletons. Inside there was an illuminating fire set with food on a long, wide table.

We thought of what could live here. Most of the crew thought Haider got bitten by a shark and would be healing. As we thought, there was a wave that pushed us over and with a groan a shark swam in. It gave us a stare and came nearer.

Unfortunately, it was a bull shark, these frightening creatures have teeth as yellow as a banana skin. It opened its mouth and tried to eat us whole. Luckily, there was a hole, we swam through it and escaped but it followed us to the ship. It opened its mouth…
