Stuart pinned himself to the railing as the breach between the tumbling skyship and the corralled ground became slim. They were sinking downwards to what seemed to be a forgotten land where all life was lost, and the rubble had scabbed the gritted ground, overlooked by a towering stone encrusted by a dirt encasing. Willow stood fixed on the dwindling goblins that had collapsed on top of the ship sending the ship dipping downwards. The goblins tore the ship bit by bit like it was something that they despised. With a grin of greed, they hurdled into the air, hands full of the ships scrapes and disappeared into the sky’s mist.

With a holler of fear, the skyship buried into the ground slowing to a halt. Stuart stood silent, thoughts flying around his head. He saw three things: a thin slither of light forcing its way through darkness itself, stone towers enclosing the rubble that surrounds the stones beginning and a crescent moon overlapping mountains above before unravelling into suns depths.

Willow too gazed upon the seeping light, dropping her jaw at the sight of the moon departing and the sun arising. The thought of what the sight used to be, from the outline of a burn to the ruins of a town in construction. The foundation of a once to be home, all rubble with a tiled door agape, hanging on with all its might.

Around half an hour later, Stuart and Willow found themselves all alone, with not any life for miles, nothing but a hand full of rubble and a couple of stubbed nails, having lost the mature ones searching for resources in the dim, forgotten land.

At that point, they were left in silence.
