Pheobe could hear a scratching,scraping noise coming from the side of the skyship. She presumed it was another pipe breaking in the framework of the ship-the vessel had been battered by their descend and was falling apart-so she resumed her embroidery and thought nothing of the strange noise. But it kept scratching on and on SCRATCH,SCRATCH,SCRATCH. Surely it wasn’t a pipe as now there were audible grunts and cursing.

Reluctant to leave her spot on the deck, Pheobe called to Axel to be quiet but there was no response. Maybe she should check it out all? She moved-crowbar in hand-and peered over the edge and what a surprising sight she saw. It was in fact a panda, a panda with a spectacle and to hat.

“Oh, great heavens don’t come at me with a crowbar I’m not a savage monster!” The panda spoke with indignation. Pheobe wondered what on Aincalel it was? Feeling bad about his first impression of her,she attempted to hoist the creature on board but he merely dodged her. “What do you think i am? A small,scared panda? No,how foolish your mind is I am in fact an Orpano Panda. Who are very much respected and high above you amateur humans.” He exclaimed whilst glaring at Pheobe,obviously judging.

So the Orpano Panda climbed on deck and stood but instantly fell over. “Are-Are you alright? Are you hurt?” Phoebe said with worry. “Yes,yes I’m quite alright but do fetch me some ice.” Once again he spoke very dismissively of her.

In the skyships kitchen, Phoebe ran into Axel who asked what she was doing with an ice pack in her hand. She muttered something about a panda on deck and ran off leaving Axel perplexed and worried as he always was.

After five minutes, the panda was seated on a pile of plush cushions with ice on his leg. “Well seeing as I’m stranded on this basic ship i may as well introduce myself. Quintin Peek,Orpano panda and writer extraordinaire.” 

“Very nice to meet you. I’m Pheobe Forkley,born in Casea City and on my way to Divan.” She replied. At that moment, Axel rushed and gaped at the curious sight in front of me. “What did i miss?”
