Chapter 3

Two days later we sat in silence in the attic eating slaty chips in took from downstairs. Outside a strange mist awakened Rose was flicking through the clues and gasps. Joey! I know where it lives! Can we go find it I sigh and agree.

It turns out the clues were fake and the location was written at the bottom of the box all this time. Rose pulled a compass out of her pocket and said it was 20° North we starting walking in that direction it was all fine until I spotted two trails of claw like footprints one leading into a cave were we were meant to go and the other leading into the sea.

We kept following the prints into the cave and Rose whispered there are its footprints… we walked into the cave and turned on our lanterns so we could see clearly. We turned the place inside out looking for the book Rose spotted something covered in spider webs it was the book I cleared the webs and Rose grabbed the book we started ti run out when we were stopped by something slimy it was the pandamander the cave went dark he had rolled a giant rock in front of the exit we both gasped and took a step back we heard a squeaky growl and something shon behind us. We looked over our shoulders something was emerging from the wall it was an egg I instantly knew what it was and grabbed it the pandamander growled at me and I shouted at him LET US GO OR I WILL THROW IT. The pandamander rolled the stone in scare I gently put the egg down and we pelted it out of there.
