The creature by Myla

Two days had passed, it was still cold and misty. I sip a hot chocolate; Richard does some research.outside, snow falls.  Inside, mystery unfolds. Today we chilling out in the warm. Well thats what I thought but Richard had other plans.

”Lilly come and look at this it’s insane!”

“It better be because I’m getting sick and tired of you saying this!”

“I found these footprints!” It turns out Richard had gone out late last night and found something remarkable.

I lock up the shack and make sure to lock the window. This time I wrapped up nice and warm. I put on my snow boots and my my Canada west coat. The mist swirls and twists making it hard to see. We walked along the beach until we reached the peir bridge. Nobody is allowed past this point it is dangerous and deadly. Richard still pulls me in and my silly brain just follows on. I realized that the footprints where very clear. They lead to the dark small cave and back to the sea.

“Come on lets not waste any more time!” Richard turned on his torch and pulled me inside. The cave is dark. Pitch black. All you can hear is… Drip Drip Drip. My heart pounds as we step forward. Just as I think we can leave… Richard finds something. There is an alcove, it’s a huge nest of seeweed and worn sticks. The crabamader has an egg!

At that moment, I feel a storm of guilt. The blue, purple and pink reflect on the torch light.” Come on Richie lets go we shouldn’t be here.” We turned around but no light to be seen. Our way is blocked. We are trapped. ” I knew I should of never trusted you!”

“Well your the one that decided to come in!”

“No you pulled me in and you know it!” That was the first argument we had had in a long time. I felt different. I didn’t feel like a freind. The shadow was moving closer and closer…It didn’t sound pleased… click click. We have heard that sound before. The crabamanda.Richard stood strong; I stood weak.
