A special daffodil

Daffodils shine

like pieces of shiny gold,

spreading their roots

like desperate hunters

looking out for food.

The green stem reaches

out to the sunlight

like a plant

dying in a cold environment.

The yellow pollen is useful

to a hive of bees

like a pot of aurelian

to a village of people.

The thorns protect

the hoard of daffodils

like knights protecting

a  group of royal members.
