Dear Mum,

Thanks for the little lunch you packed me. It was very nice; I ate most of it on the train. When I arrived at Sheffield I had to wait a couple of minutes before I got picked. Luckily, I got picked by a nice looking man and woman with a boy about the same age as me. After that I found out that the man was called John, the boy was Tom and the mum was Elizabeth.

I arrived at a farm and there was 12 chickens, 2 cows and 5 sheep. The chickens and started to poo and John went over and picked it up. I was disgusted. Then I realized that it was an egg in his hand!

My bedroom is in the attic with Tom’s. Luckily, there was a spare bed and a toilet inside the house- how lucky am I. Anyway Elizabeth can make brilliant types of eggs: scrambled, poached and fried. I normally have that for breakfast with a slice of toast. So good. They are very nice to me and luckily I don’t have to go to school for another week. Sadly, I have to do some work around the house but after that I can go play with tom and his friends.

I’m having a brilliant time I wish you could be here with me to share this amazing experience.

Miss you a lot

Lots of love

From your son,

Jack.
