Evacuee Letter

Dear Ma

I can’t even begin to tell you the unbelievable journey I’ve had so far  so,I’ll try to write the main bits just for you. After the bizarre push and shone onto the train, I landed myself in a nice comfy seat next to the window.I had just enough space to fit my bag and my feet in front of me nicely. There were many children on the train chatting frantically – I could barely hear the train wheels running along the tracks.Anyway, there was a girl just like me sitting on the seat to my right. Her name was Lea and she was definitely a chatterbox Ma.Well eventually the train stopped and I had the relief to hear my own voice again.I waved goodbye to Lea and eventually found my classmates all waiting for me.We headed out of the station into the lovely fresh air of the countryside. After 10 minutes of a tiring walk we arrived at a village hall and formed a line against a wall.I thought no one was going to pick me – but I was the first to go Ma.I’m now living in a little cottage with a lady called Miss Mel and if you want to know what she’s like you’d definitely approve Ma.Well eventually we had a cup of tea together and then she let allowed me to write this letter to you.Don’t worry I’ll be okay
